Pre-war Copacabana beachfront, near the Palace.
Landmark buildingEdifício Veneza stands at Avenida Atlântica 1.910 on Copacabana's beachfront avenue, in the historic stretch close to the Copacabana Palace. Finished in 1938, it is one of the earliest residential buildings still standing on the avenue, predating the post-war wave that filled in the rest of the skyline.
Its pre-war architecture and its beachfront position are the two facts confirmed in our records. Floor-plate sizes, unit count, architect and developer are not yet verified.
Address: Av. Atlântica 1.910, Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro
Veneza was completed in 1938, during Copacabana's first residential wave. The avenue's pre-war stock — Veneza among it — is a thin band of survivors from the era that gave Copacabana its beachfront identity.
